THE PALMS DUBAI MAGAZINE will donate 15% of its annual profits to the
RED CRESCENT AUTHORITY UAE.
The AUTHORITY was established in 1983.
The AUTHORITY gained international recognition as a member of the INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF RED CRESCENT AND RED CROSS in 1986.
HIS HIGHNESS SHEIKH HAMDAN BIN ZAYED AL NAHYAN took the position of the CHAIRMAN of the BOARD OF THE RED CRESCENT in 1986 and then took the position of the CHAIRMAN of the AUTHORITY in 1993.
In 1997, the role of the AUTHORITY was enhanced by the acceptance of HER HIGHNESS SHEIKHA FATIMA BINT MUBARAK for the position of the HONORARY PRESIDENT of the RED CRESCENT UAE.
The MISSION of the AUTHORITY is to:
1. Increase local humanitarian impacts,
2. Strengthen financial sustainability,
3. Focus on foreign aid & relief, and,
4. Increase institutional confidence.
